William A. Harris

 William A. Harris        

Turner Harris was the father of Allen D. Harris who was the father of William Harris.  Allen Harris married Elizabeth (maiden Name unknown).  After Allen died, Elizabeth came to Texas with her two sons, William A. Harris and George Robert Martin Harris in about 1840.  They settled in Red River County.  Two years later, in about 1842, they moved to Hunt County and settled at Hooker Ridge on what is now known as the Harris Homestead.
