Johanetta Sames, born March 1, 1836, in Katzenfurt, Germany.  She was the daughter of Johann Peter Sames, born Oct.3, 1807 and his wife, Maria Christina, nee Dorlas, born April 29, 1811.  They arrived in Galveston Dec. 2, 1845, on the ship, Neptune, from Bremen.  They were Fisher-Miller colonists.
